My mother in law whom I simply called Mom was never dictatorial or difficult. She was such a great and gentle lady.
We went on several vacations with Mom and Dad. It seemed like each time we went one or both of them came back with an injury. Paula jokingly told us that we could not take them on vacation any more. But we always enjoyed seeing the sites and spending time with them.
One of the things I will miss the most is you and I going shopping together. We would always stop and have lunch. Somehow we would find the Carmel or Mocha Frappe's that you liked so much.
You will always be missed and remembered fondly with Love by all of us.
I Love you and Miss you.

The last time I saw Jean was at my college graduation in Flagstaff, Ariz, 34 years ago. Hard to believe it's been that long. During the four years before that, I was a guest in her home many, many times. I remember her as a sweet, thoughtful and generous woman who smiled wide and laughed out loud. She cared about people -- she cared about her family. And, if you were one of the lucky people to be in her family, you knew she cared about you.
I'm very sorry for the family's loss. Losing both Gene and Jean in such a short period is just terrible. They were together for so long, a team for so long, devoted to each other for so long - I understand why Jean felt lost without her husband. Rest in peace Jean and Gene.

Aunt Jean will be very missed. I loved to call them and talk all at the same time. Our visits when they came to York were always fun and filled with laughter. Our love and Prayers go out to your entire family. We will not forget either of them .
Love to you,
Mark and Cathy
