Mr. James Robert Harris, aka (Bob Harris), son of Willie Bay Harris and Martha Crawford Harris, was born August 12, 1943, in Albany, Georgia.  At age 77, James departed this life peacefully at his home, on Saturday, July 10, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Seeking better opportunities, after moving to Los Angeles, California, James found new employment, and continued to climb to the highest position he was qualified to fill. Using his impressive personality, and infectious smile, along with his educational degrees, and special training, he succeeded in his goal to provide himself with a comfortable lifestyle for himself and his family.

In 1991, James was united in holy wedlock to Sharilyn Crisp, in beautiful Lake Tahoe. Mr. and Mrs. Harris recently celebrated their 30th Anniversary, this past April 27th. James’ wife, Sharilyn, was his personal caretaker for three years during his illness; never leaving his side, as she served and cared for him with love, affection, and gratitude until the end.

James was a loving and caring husband and dad. He was a good man, with a warm heart, who was always there with his wonderful character and personality. James promoted unity among his friends and family, and he was a joy to be around. Besides being ambitious, professional, and dependable, James had characteristics of being kind, courteous, considerate, respectful, sincere, calm, understanding, and easygoing.  James was well respected by his family, friends and others.

In earlier years, James enjoyed spending time playing golf with friends and co-workers, and he loved to watch basketball games on television, then share the results with his friend ‘Bo’. While relaxing at home, James enjoyed planting and caring for his garden, and doing the ‘manly’ things around the house. Spending quality time with his grandchildren was his joy and pleasure, as he watched them grow from tots to teens to young adults. James and his wife often went on road trips and outings to spend time together, and enjoy special times and occasions, taking a break from their shared routine and comfort of just being at home together, which was always special.

James leaves behind to cherish his memories:  His devoted spouse, Sharilyn; his son Robert and wife, Yvette; his son Steven; his daughter Kimisha, and husband, Richard; his daughter Tami and husband Wendell; his grandchildren: Valor, Ivory, Honor, Amelia, Christian, Anthony, Allura, Alea, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

James has chosen to be cremated, and has requested that there be no funeral or burial service for him.
