Obituary of JD Jenkins

J.D. Jenkins, age 71, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018. J.D. was born January 27, 1947 in Washington, DC, as the only child of the late Glen and the late Eleanor Jenkins. At an early age, his family moved to a farm in Bedford Virginia where he grew up. At age 8. J.D. was given a shotgun by his grandparents. That began his lifelong love of shooting. He began trap shooting during his days at Purdue University and earned numerous national awards. J. D. was one of the top trap shooters in the state of Nevada. He also enjoyed classical music and computers. J.D. is survived by his wife Marti Jenkins; sons Brian Bunin of Reno NV, Matthew Bunin of Las Vegas and Seth (Donna) Bunin of S. Lyon MI; grandchildren Jasmyne (Jacob) Romero, Brandi (Jason) Wardrobe, Joshua Bunin and Simon Bunin; and great grandchildren Noah Romero, Jaxson Romero and Caleb Bunin. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Sunday, September 28 at the home of Matthew Bunin.
