Obituary of Isaac Goldstein

Isaac Goldstein, age 89, a 10 year resident of Las Vegas, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Isaac was born March 10, 1926 in Pa?cani, Romania to the late Yaacov and the late D'Vorah (Isaac) Goldstein. He worked hard to earn his general contractor's license in masonry in California. He was self-employed and built many houses and helped many people building new homes. Isaac loved building anything he could get his hands on. He enjoyed cooking, sewing, craft projects and doing anything that could make others happy. Isaac worked in many religious establishments helping them with their repairs, including building the boundary walls for the Jewish cemetery in Pa?cani, Romania. He was an excellent soccer player and was goalie for Romanian team in the Maccabi Games. During Isaac's immigration to Israel, he saved over 800 people when the ship hit a rock by using the radio to communicate for help. He continued helping others when he served in the Israeli military during their war for independence. Isaac is predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Sarah. He is survived by children Esther (Delton Matthew Carter) Goldstein of Las Vegas; Mordechai (Crissy) Goldstein of Seattle WA and Eli (Daisy) Goldstein of Las Vegas; grandchildren Ezra, Lillian, Coby, Joshua, Jacob and Daniel; great-grandchildren Miley, Daniela, Jared, John, Alfren, Kooch and Niki; and brother, Yosef Goldstein. A graveside service will be held 3:30 pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 Las Vegas Boulevard North, Las Vegas, NV.
