Obituary of Rita Cervoni

Rita Cervoni, age 76, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at her home in Las Vegas. Rita was born April 17, 1938 in the Bronx NY to the late Ernest and the late Marie (Zellahan) Carbo. She worked as a bookkeeper for a construction company. Rita is survived by her husband of 58 years Vincent Cervoni; one daughter Dina (Guy) Whisenant of Las Vegas; three sons Derek (Caroline) Cervoni of Las Vegas, Lee (Doreen) Cervoni of Las Vegas and Vincent Cervoni Jr of Las Vegas; grandchildren Nikki (Blaze) Papadopoulos, Dennis Jeantet, Kevin Jeantet, Joseph Cervoni, Johnny Cervoni, Jaclyn Cervoni, Jazzmin Joos, Breanna Cervoni, Annmarie Cervoni, Frankie Cervoni, Giovanni Cervoni and Ian Cervoni; and great grandchildren Juliet Gaughan, Bradyn Jeantet, Christian Jeantet, Gianni Jeantet. She is predeceased by her son Francis Cervoni; grandson Jarrod Cervoni and siblings Ernest Carbo and Celeste Carbo. Throughout her life, Rita was especially drawn to St Jude and donated the statue of St. Jude to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Las Vegas. A visitation will take place on Monday, February 23 from 3:00-6:00 PM at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, #104, Las Vegas, NV 89147. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at St. Francis De Sales, 1111 Michael Way, Las Vegas, 89108. Burial will follow at Palm Cemetery, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas 89131. Contributions in Rita's memory may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, www.stjude.org.
