Obituary of Dorothy Maniscalco

Dorothy Maniscalco went home to be with the Lord on February 19th, 2015. She was 90 years old and entered into His presence peacefully. She is now in fullness of joy for the rest of eternity. She was my mother and had strength that lifted me when I was down, encouragement that gave me confidence and most of all love that gave me the most important foundation for my life. She was the mother of 3 children, Donna Maniscalco, Raymond Maniscalco and Robert Maniscalco (Grandmother to his children Kerry and Kimberly and great grandmother to her children) and Grandmother to Sara Maniscalco, Rachel Maniscalco and Great Grandmother to Sophia Dorothy. She is also survived by Daniel Militello, her brother and Eleanor Aliberti, her youngest sister as well as many nieces and nephews. Her enjoyment in life was her family. Her fun in life was Bingo and playing pennies. Her faith was in the Lord Jesus Christ. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 23: (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Her memory and homecoming were celebrated on Friday, February 20th, at her home with family and close friends.
