Obituary of Harold Edwin Brown

Harold Edwin Brown, age 84, of Las Vegas, died Thursday, February 12, 2015. Harold was born October 14, 1930 in Los Angeles CA to the late Walter and the late Florence (Abrahams) Brown. He attended school in San Pedro and then Claremont Men's College. Harold served in the Army and attended Fort Benjamin Harrison Financial School. He worked at and was a junior partner at Brown Bros Clothiers from 1953 to 1972, a family owned firm with three men's clothing stores. He then went to work for City Bank of New York in the factoring division and in the late 70's, went into the medical management business. Harold enjoyed golf, tennis and photography. Over the years, he participated in numerous organizations including the Lions Club in San Pedro, CA, the Masonic Daylight 44 Lodge, where he was a 50 year member, the Scottish Rite, Zelah Shrine in Las Vegas, Temple Beth El in San Pedro and Temple Sinai in Palm Desert and in Las Vegas. He received numerous awards including the American National Red Cross Certificate of Merit, a service award from the City of Hope, Temple Sinai, Desert Trails Community Association and the Arthritis Foundation. He also served on the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Mirage. Harold is survived by his wife of 61 years Myrna (Feigenbaum) Brown; children Mark (Julie) Brown and Lu Anna Jo Brown; and grandchildren Michael Brown and Samuel Brown. The funeral will be held at 10:40 am on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
