Obituary of David Lawrence Schwartz

David Lawrence Schwartz, DDS, 84, of New Brunswick NJ & Henderson, NV passed away on January 21, 2015. David graduated from Rutgers University, B.S.,1952, the University of Pennsylvania, D.D.S. 1956 and NYU, M.S. Prosthodontics, 1967. He served in the US Naval Dental Corps as a Lieutenant and went on to enjoy private practice in New Brunswick for 50 years before retiring. An extraordinarily meticulous and talented prosthodontist, his teaching posts included the University of Pennsylvania and NJ College of Medicine & Dentistry, Middlesex County College and University of Medicine and Dentistry, NJ. An active member of his community, he served two-year terms each as corresponding secretary, second Vice President, first Vice President and President of Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, New Brunswick, NJ. He was Chairman of the Dental Division of United Fund and Co-Chair of the Department of Dentistry, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He was President of Alpha Omega Fraternity, President of the Inter-fraternity Council, School of Dentistry University of Pennsylvania, President Middlesex County Dental Society and President of the NJ section of the American College of Prosthodontics. ? Other affiliations included Northeastern Gnathological Society, American College Of Prosthodontics, St. Peter's Medical Center and Associated Cranial-Facial Deformities Team, New Brunswick, NJ.?He was a beautiful singer and pianist who loved to work with wood and loved animals. He is survived by his children Michael (Mary Beth) Mark (Marie) Laurie (Alex) Jaime, Lindsey, wife Carol and grandchildren, Daniel, Katherine, Eric, Benjamin, Matthew and Logan. The funeral took place at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, New Brunswick, NJ. on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 1:30 pm. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery in North Brunswick..
