Obituary of Kathleen Lee Sparks

Kathleen Lee Sparks, age 92, a 63 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015. Kathleen was born October 6, 1922 in Covington KY to the late James and the late Elizabeth Harper. She enjoyed playing games, especially bingo and Rummikub, and loved to linedance. Kathleen is survived by her children Barbara (Russ Angione) Carlile, Deborah Markland, Michael (Michelle) Sparks, all of Las Vegas; grandchildren Christopher Sparks, Anna (Nick) Radef, Darren (Kerrie) Sparks, Karen (Mike) Woodrum, Jennifer (Nick) Provance, Amy Childress, Rachael (Daniel) Klein, Shanna (Kevin) Burnette and Christian Sparks; and 20 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Ray Sparks; son Raymond Lee Sparks and grandson John Carlile. Visitation will take place from 6:00-9:00 PM on Friday January 23 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV 89147. Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89128, with burial immediately following at Palm Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123. Contributions in Kathleen's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
