Obituary of Susan Sau Shan Tong

Susan Sau Shan Tong passed early morning Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Centennial Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, NV while surrounded by loving family. She was 45 years old. Susan was born April 6, 1969 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Hong Kong, daughter of Pak Hon Tong and Suk Lin Leung. She married Ricky Lim Yan Lee on December 27, 1995 at The First Presbyterian Church in Salt Lake City, UT. Susan enjoyed spending time with family, taking pictures, trying new restaurants and playing with her puppy, but her favorite was spending time with her husband and son. She was an exemplary mother who was present at every recital, awards ceremony, swim lesson and was on time for every pick up. As a Mom, she instilled good morals and discipline in her son, Adrian, and taught him to prioritize and be organized; there was no doubt that she loved Adrian and never put anything before him or her husband, Ricky. She was always cheerful, included others, was kind to a fault and never judgmental. She had a knack for technology and had an acute attention to detail. She was unbelievably strong and brave without showing any weakness. Despite her ongoing battle with rheumatoid arthritis, she did not let it slow her down; she was the conductor behind the curtain that ensured the show ran smoothly. Her humor and whit could lighten even the darkest of moods. She lived a simple, humble, uncomplicated life that was selfless in all aspects. Susan showed thoughtfulness beyond measure and was always the person to ask any favor without ever needing a reason why. She never asked for anything, but gave everything in return. She is survived by her Husband, Ricky; Son, Adrian; parents, Pak Hon Tong and Suk Lin Leung; Older Brother, Wilson; and Younger Sister, Ivy. Memorial services will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 6601 W. Twain Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89103 on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 12:00pm. A private burial ceremony will be held afterwards.
