Obituary of Rosita Alfaro De Mesa

On Oct 11th 2014, in Las Vegas, Nevada the world lost 22 year resident Rosita Alfaro De Mesa. Her life is remembered by loving husband Ricardo De Mesa and children, Romeo, Lourdes, Diomedes, Marilyn, Enrico and devoted niece Corozon Quiason. Rosita is also survived by her three siblings and leaves four grandchildren whom she was very proud and adored. Of very humble beginnings Rosita started her life in Mexico Pampanga November 7th 1931, Republic of the Philippines. Life was difficult in those times as she lost her father during the Japanese occupation of WWII. Rosita left school at the 3rd grade to help support her six siblings, cleaning laundry and selling chickens. Rosita with her very entrepreneurial spirit also worked selling fish for commission. Rosita while maintaining employment returned to school subsequently completing a course in Dressmaking from Jocson Junior College. With this new skill she was able to help two of her siblings complete training courses in dressmaking as well. In 1955 she found love and enjoyed a life long partnership and friendship with Ricardo. Together they raised six children putting them each through University. Rosita's personality although at times controversial was magnetic to say the least, often captivating her customers, colleagues, friends and family through her frank conversation. She was true and there was no mistaking what was on her mind. She loved providing for her family always standing willing to assist in any fashion, all the while denying herself things that could've enriched her life, She was selfless and giving to all and she will be missed. Services will be held this Sunday, October 19th at Kraft Sussman Funeral Home between the hours of 11:30 AM until 5:30 PM. Rosita will be returned to her homeland where she will be given last rights and interred with her relatives that have gone before her.
