Obituary of Glenn R Willrich

Glenn R. Willrich III, age 63, beloved husband, father, and grandfather (Papa) passed away on Wednesday, October 15th, 2014. He was born July 17th, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio. He was the son of Glenn R. Jr. and Peggy Willrich. As a child he enjoyed spending time with his sisters and always looked out for them but most importantly he loved beating them at jacks. Glenn graduated from South High School in Youngstown and then went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. On June 12, 1971 he married his childhood sweetheart, Linda. Glenn worked as a Fleet Director for First Energy in Youngstown, Ohio for 20 years before moving to Las Vegas, NV where he was currently employed at NV Energy as a Lead Fleet Services Supervisor. He received many awards and accolades from his military service and various employers. Glenn loved working on home improvement projects, fixing cars, fishing, and listening to oldies music especially Elvis Presley. He was a philanthropist in giving to other service men and women in need. He enjoyed vacationing at the beach but above all else he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who were the light of his life. He took great pleasure in helping his grandchildren with school projects, teaching them how to cook, and attending all of their activities and functions. Those who knew Glenn know that he was the most kind and loving man around. He was always there to lend a helping hand and put everyone else's needs above his own. You could often find him in the kitchen cooking up an amazing meal while singing and whistling away. Glenn is survived by his wife of 43 years Linda Willrich (Petrony), his daughter Stacey Pulido (Willrich), his son Glenn R. Willrich IV, daughter-in-law Irene Willrich, granddaughter Ava Grace Pulido (aka Gracie), grandsons Glenn Willrich V (aka Glenny) and Sebastian Macias (aka Ponch). He is also survived by his sisters Tammie Nadzam (Ken), Maggie Bodine (Jeff), and Robin Tanner (Rusty) as well as his brother Larry Willrich (Jan), his mother-in-law Anna Marie Delfino, sister-in-laws Vicki Brown, Eunice Duff, Sandie Lombardi, brother-in-laws Anthony Petrony (Jeanne) and Sam Petrony (Audra), nieces and nephews Nolan Nadzam (Kim), Jennifer Iamurri (Cosmo), Natasha Nadzam, Jill Duff, Brandon Bodine (Fabi), Sam Petrony (Kristin), Tony Petrony, Al (aka Pep) Derose, Scott Petrony, Sarah Petrony, Cameron Lombardi, as well as many great nieces and nephews, and his grandpets Belle, Winter, and Sky. He was preceded in death by his parents, all of his grandparents, his father-in-law (Anthony Petrony) and step father-in-law (Nick Delfino), his nephew Bryan Bodine and niece Jamie Lynn Petron. An Angel whispered take my hand and come with me, you're work here is done. I went away to a place where there are no tears, nor sorrow, only laughter and smiles, there will always be a tomorrow. As I move amongst the clouds, I'll look down and smile upon you, while the angels sing a heavenly song. I am not alone, all who went before me are here, they awaited my return. I know you'll grieve and wish I was still here, I am here in the memories you hold dear. Remember how much I love you, and know I took your love with me. I did not wish for you to cry, nor feel sad. My pain is gone and I am free! Soon you'll come to me but until then God will be with you, just as he is with me.
