Obituary of Nicholas S Christopulos

Nicholas S Christopulos, age 90, of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in North Las Vegas, NV. Nicholas was born March 10, 1924 in Redding CA to the late Savas and the late Aspecia (Routchis) Christopulos. He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Combat Cargo CBI Group in the Army Air Corps during World War II receiving a distinguished flying cross and 3 air medals. Nicholas He graduated from California State University Chico with a degree in Business Administration. He joined the Board of the California Bear Credit Union in 1960,and served in a number of positions on their executive committee. He was the Credit Union President from 1975 to 1989. He retired from State service in 1975 after 27 years of service and the last position was Chief of the Administration Department for CalTrans District 7.,. He was an avid golfer, earning a Hole In One trophy. He also enjoyed jazz music and oil painting. Nicholas is survived by his wife, Angela Christopulos; children Paul (Becca) Christopulos; Mark (Jen) Christopulos; Eileen Lizarraga and Sylvia Lizarraga; and grandchildren Louis Christopulos; Jenna Komarnicki, Angelina Miller and Joseph Miller, and his 20lb Orange tabby cat, Adam. A funeral service, with military honors will take place at 1:20 PM on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
