Obituary of Joseph O'Connell

Joseph O'Connell, age 68, a twelve year resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Sunday, August 31st, 2014 at his home. Joseph was born on October 26th, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late James Thomas and Mary (Halligan) O'Connell. Joseph grew up in Brooklyn, NY and served in the United States Air Force. He pursued a career as a fire fighter, serving as a Fire Marshall and as a New York City Fire Fighter. Joseph was part of the New York Fire Fighters Association and the Police Benevolent Association. He is survived by his long-time partner Lioudmila Tiounkina, and his brother Brian (Claire) O'Connell of Florida. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 4:00pm in the Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services Chapel at 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV 89147. .
