Obituary of Kathleen Ann Stirling

Kathleen Ann Stirling, age 43, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning, August 17, 2014 at Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada surrounded by her family, friends, and fiancé. Kathleen was born July 16, 1971 in Las Vegas. She lived in Las Vegas her entire life except for a brief period when her family moved to New Jersey. When she was twenty-one she began working in the gaming industry where she would spend most of her working career. She enjoyed working in casinos and made many life-long friends among her co-workers. In 2010 Kathleen met Larry Nakauchi who would later become her fiancé. Kathleen and Larry most enjoyed spending their time alone together. They also traveled and considered moving to favorite places such as Florida or Hawaii. But Kathleen's life was complete in Las Vegas and she ultimately decided she didn't want to leave her family and friends. She referred to the years since 2010 as the best years of her life. Kathleen is survived by her son, Steve E. Price III., her mother, Marjorie Stirling, her brother, Mike Stirling and his children, her fiancé, Larry Nakauchi, all of Las Vegas, and her father, Michael Stirling, of California. She is also survived by her aunt Claire Murphy, and cousins Stacy Kinsler and Leigh Ann Dunn and their families, and other caring extended family members. Services for Kathleen will private and her family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the SPCA in her name. During a recent conversation Kathleen was asked how life had been treating her. She replied her life was great and, "I wouldn't change a minute of it."
