Obituary of Carol Messing Kugler

Carol Messing Kugler, 77, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away February 20, 2014. Carol was born April 21, 1936, in Bronx, NY to the late Herman and Henrietta (nee Pullman) Messing. She attended Buffalo State Teachers College and graduated from Adelphi University. Carol was the first member of her family to earn a college degree. She met the love of her life, Robert Kugler, and was married January 11, 1958 in NY. They resided in East Meadow, NY for 38 years. Carol was an active member of JWVA and Cancer Care. After raising her children she was a hospice volunteer. She and Bob retired to Las Vegas in 1996. Carol is survived by her husband of 56 years Robert Kugler; children Karen (Eli) Schwartz of Las Vegas, Josh (Eydie) Kugler of Chicago and Adam (Lauran) Kugler of NY; grandchildren Jordan, Benjamin, Leah, Noah, Sage and Ayla; siblings Cynthia Frank, Jill Levine, Wendy Boehm, Lynn Montgomery and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by sister Joanne Kanofsky and brother Joseph Messing. A funeral service to celebrate Carol's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday February 23, 2014 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, #104, Las Vegas, 89147, followed by interment at Palm Cemetery N. Jones. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
