Obituary of Harold P Robbin

Harold Robbin, 93, an 18 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014. Harold was born June 8, 1920 in Stewert IL to the late William and the late Eva Robbin. His mother died when he was 8 years old and Harold lived in an orphanage until he was 18. Harold was a great athlete and played professional baseball for the Milwaukee Braves prior to being injured while serving in the Army during World War II. He owned Chicago Drapery and Interiors with his wife, Jean. Harold was a member of the Jewish War Veterans, Post 64. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jean Robbin; daughter Shawnelyse (Stuart) Fishman of Carpentersville IL; brother Robert Galler of Scottsdale AZ; nieces Darcey (Bob) Spitz-Yuciks of New York City and Suzanne (Michael) Caplan of Chicago; and nephews Lance Galler of Tempe AZ and Mark Galler of Scottsdale. A service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV, 89147. Burial will be at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. Contributions in Harold's memory may be made to a cancer or heart organization of the donor's choice.
