Obituary of Ramona Roskoski

Mona Roskoski, who lived her life loving her family, passed away Monday, January 20th 2014. During the last moments of her life she was surrounded by her daughters, longtime family friend Willie Miller who was like a son to her, and her loving husband as she slowly slipped away into the afternoon with peace and grace. Born October 30th, 1948 in Hemet California, Mona was the youngest of eight children Rosa Coronado, Esther Harlow, Margaret Fulgham, David Andrade, and Mary Morgan (preceded in death by siblings Robert Andrade and Manuel Andrade Jr. and parents Margaret Andrade and Manuel Andrade). Mona's life was one of true love. In 1965, she traveled to Reno and met Richard, the love of her life. They fell head over heels, and from the moment they met, everything seemed to make sense. With hearts full, they married on February 25, 1967 in Reno, Nevada at Little Flower Church. The love Mona and Rich shared was one that few people are given the opportunity to experience. Through good times and bad, she was a pillar of inner strength and fortitude. Mona was blessed with two daughters, Dana Robert (David) and Amy Caufield (Geoff) and four grandchildren whom she lived for; Jacob Cronin, Zachary Cronin, Makenzie Caufield, and Regan Caufield. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who knew her as their dear Aunt Mona. Mona dedicated her life to loving her family which truly defined her. She was a loving mother, wife, mentor, and inspiration to all who knew her. Mona was a very special person with a heart made of gold. She leaves her family with many memories to cherish and pass on to others. Every day she spent on this earth she knew was a gift from God and she willingly passed that on to all whom she touched. Everything good that is in her children came wholly or in part from this Angel. She taught them to love, to give, and the value of hard work and dedication to their passions in life. She taught that there is value in every human life, regardless of how meek. Finally, the lesson of the value of the fight, and to her very last day she continued that lesson. She parted this earth with such dignity. While Mona is no longer there physically, know that spiritually she is. She is now watching over all of you as your "Angel". Funeral services will be conducted at Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Committal will be immediately following the services at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery. Maps will be made available at the service for a reception to follow the committal.
