Obituary of Samuel Sanford Israel

Dr. Samuel Sanford Israel, age 96, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Sam was born October 29, 1917 in Buffalo NY to the late Roland and the late Ida (Weinstein) Israel. He served in the Army during World War II and then practiced podiatry for over 50 years in Los Angeles. Sam enjoyed golfing and travel. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Israel; children Loren (Chelsea) Israel, Lawrence Israel, Joyce (Anne Skeffington) Baker and Byron Baker; and siblings Clarence (Rita) Israel, Ray Israel and Ethel Mack. Contributions in Sam's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Jewish War Veterans Post 21. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at Eden Memorial in Mission Hills CA. .
