Obituary of Loy Caren Simon

Loy C. Simon, 58, of Las Vegas NV went to heaven October 10, 2013. Loy, daughter of Gladean Mayone Burd and the late Bobby Dean Burd, loving wife of William Michael Simon, passed away peacefully at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. She is survived by her husband Mike, and two daughters Ashlie and Emily. She is also survived by one grandson, Logan Dean. Loy and Mike moved from Manhattan, KS in 1982 to Las Vegas where Loy worked as a devoted school teacher for 25 years at Gene Ward Elementary School until her retirement in 2013. She loved shopping with her daughters, reading, playing with her grandson, enjoying sports and most importantly spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed and remembered by all she touched. Services will be held this Tuesday October 15, 2013 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services from 2:00-5:00pm located at 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, Nevada 89147. .
