Obituary of Barry Levenburg

Barry Levenburg, age 93, of Las Vegas and Santa Monica, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013. Barry was born August 26, 1920 in Grand Rapids MI to the late Michael and the late Rose (Feinberg) Levenburg. Barry served in the Army and Air Force during World War II earning 3 Bronze Battle Stars. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan and though he traveled around the world many times his heart was always maize and blue, especially during football season. Barry worked in Human resources with Hughes Aircraft. He was an avid tennis and volleyball player, and attended numerous Wimbledon tournaments and the Australian Opens. Barry is survived by sister Florence Hymes of California; sister in law Dora Levenburg of Michigan; nephew Steven Levenburg of MI; Nieces Carole Harris of MN and Sue Hacker of TX; special cousin David Kaplan and numerous other cousins. A service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Ahavas Israel Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MI.
