Obituary of Anne Lillian Sandler

Anne Lillian Sandler, 89, of Las Vegas and formerly of Newton MA and Boynton Beach FL, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Anne was born September 9, 1924 in Glen Falls, NY to the late Hieman and the late Sarah (Berkowitz) Zimmerman. After raising her two sons, Anne went back to college and then worked as a controller for an oil company. She enjoyed playing and watching tennis and was an avid Celtics and Red Sox fan. Anne was a Life-Member of Hadassah and a member of Temple Emanuel in Newton for over 52 years. She is survived by her sons Jeffrey Sandler (Rabbi Shai Specht) of Las Vegas and Steven Sandler (Lisa) of Huntington Beach CA; and grandchildren Jason, Eric and Matthew. The funeral service and burial will be held at the Temple Emanuel of Newton Memorial Park in Randolph MA. The family will sit shiva in Las Vegas at Jeff and Shai's home on Tuesday all day, with a minyan at 7 PM, and on Wednesday until sundown.
