Obituary of Rosalind Alexander

Rosalind Alexander, age 92, of Las Vegas and formerly of New York and Durham N.C., , passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013. Rosalind was born April 14, 1921 in New York NY to the late Louis and the late Gertrude (Seydel) Alexander. Rosalind was a dance teacher in New York. She began teaching at age 11 and later owned a dance studio. Rosalind's School of Dancing was an anchor of Laurelton, NY in the late 40's to 70's. Rosalind attended the University of Iowa and Hofstra University and became a CPA. She went into practice as a CPA in 1971. Rosalind is survived by her daughters Judi Weissinger (Robert Schulman) of Las Vegas NV and Nancy Lee Schoenfeld of W. Babylon NY; grandchildren Amity Alexandra Gleason (Russell) of Los Angeles, Seth Steven Hartman (Amy Ruschhaupt) of Pittsburgh PA and Melodie Schulman of Santa Barbara CA. Contributions in Rosalind's memory may be made to the Center for Developmental Disabilities (Center for Developmental Disabilities) and send it to the care of Susan Flynn at 87 East Gate Drive, Huntington, NY 11743. A private family service is planned.
