Obituary of Matthew Salvatore Matanza

Matthew Salvatore Matanza, 21 of Las Vegas, NV. After an intense struggle he lost his fight to lung cancer on Friday May 24th 2013. He came into this world a true fighter, two months premature at 3 lbs. He was a joy and a delight and gave it his best fight. A true champion and inspiration to us all. A loving sun and brother. He is survived by his fianc Amanda Mesa, his mother Christine J. Matanza, his father Charley A. Matanza, step father, William E. Carey Jr. Siblings Sheila M. Matanza, Joseph A. Matanza, Justin W. Osgood, Sara A. Osgood, And Jessie W. Osgood, all of Las Vegas, NV. His grandparents Joseph and Mary McAleer of Denver, CO. Aunts uncle cousins and nieces and numerous friends and loved ones. He is proceeded in death by his grandmother Esther Monalisa Suder, His cousin Kelly McAleer. He was a true renaissance man, with chivalry and pride, the keeper of the flame. He treasured his weapons swords and knives; He loved all animals and enjoyed nature. Matthew was honest and kind, even to strangers. He was compassionate and giving and always put others needs first. He was a genuine fountain of knowledge, good natured, comical and sometimes dramatic. He had a sense of humor that helped us, and he never gave up hope. He touched people's lives in many wonderful ways. We were all blessed by the gift God gave us in Matthew. He will always be loved and never forgotten. Matthews services will be held at Kraft & Sussman, 3975 S. Durango Blvd. Suit#104 Las Vegas, NV on Wednesday May 29th, 2013 At 2:30 pm.
