Obituary of Jack Harold Shapiro

Jack Harold Shapiro, age 75, a 21 year resident of Las Vegas and Henderson, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Jack was born June 12, 1937 in Detroit MI to the late Albert Aaron and the late Ruth (Wasik) Shapiro. Jack loved life. He was very creative and loved to draw and carve beautiful pumpkins with his children and grandchildren. Jack loved water and shared this interest with his family by teaching his children and grandchildren to swim. He also enjoyed going on cruises. Jack enjoyed working. He was a hairdresser and salesman and continued working until the age of 74, when he became ill. He was involved in helping a number of charities, including collecting money for Jerry's Kids. Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Shapiro; son David Shapiro and grandchildren Daniella Silverstein and Nicholas Shapiro. He is predeceased by his daughter Debbie Silverstein. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace and be forever in our hearts.
