Obituary of Florence Irene Norman

Florence Irene Norman, age 85, of North Las Vegas, died Thursday, February 7, 2013. Florence was born March 31, 1927 in Hamtramck MI to the late Thomas and the late Bernice (Kempinski) Pytel. Florence worked as a supervisor for the Auto Club of Michigan then retired to Florida, prior to moving to Las Vegas. While in Florida, she worked for the Detroit Tigers spring training program for 20 years, in Lakeland FL. While working, she also found time to enjoy bingo and bicycling. Florence was a woman who spoke her mind, was quite a jokester and full of life. Florence is survived by her husband Thomas; daughters Carol (Bruce) Hilton of North Las Vegas NV and Susan Odom of Flatrock MI; grandchildren Stephanie (James) Lowe of Thomasville NC and Robert Hunsaker of Lincoln Park MI; great grandchildren Michael Lambeth, Nicholas Lowe and Ben Hunsaker; and siblings Ann Pytel of Sterling Heights MI and Simeon Pytel of Signal Mountain TN. A mass will take place at St. John Newman Catholic Church, 2575 W. El Campo Grande Ave., North Las Vegas, 89031 at 11 AM on Saturday, February 23, 2013, with a luncheon to follow.
