Obituary of Jack Calvin Fogelson

Jack Calvin Fogelson, age 94, a 13 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Jack was born December 8, 1918 in Muskegon, MI to the late Pierre and the late Minna (Daniels) Fogelson. Jack was one of five children. After his father passed away when Jack was very young, he and some of his siblings grew up in the Bellefaire Jewish orphan Home in Cleveland OH. Jack served in the Army during World War II. He earned a degree in Economics at The Ohio State University, then became a steel salesman and traveled throughout the Midwest. Jack strongly believed in the mitzvah of Kibbud Av Va'Em, honoring one's father and mother. After his father passed away, Jack supported his mother, once he was able to, until the end of her life. He was only able to get married at a later age when he no longer had to worry about supporting 2 households. He married Nancy White at the age of 52. Jack is survied by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Fogelson; daughter Adina (Golan) Azani of Bet Shemesh Isreal; and grandchildren Shifrah, Chaim, Tagel and Shalom all of Bet Shemesh. A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Destinations At Eastern, 4330 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV. .
