Obituary of Gloria Gorlin

Gloria Rita Gorlin died on Monday, March 7, 2022, at the age of 70 years old, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gloria was born on May 15, 1951, in New York City. Gloria grew up in the Pelham section of the Bronx, NY with her parents, Lou and Esther Ehrenfeld and her older brother Dan. After graduation from Christopher Columbus High School, Gloria attended the Fashion Institute of Technology before graduating from Pace University in New York, with a major in Marketing and Design. Gloria would begin her career in publishing but later transitioned to working in the music industry where she experienced working as an Assistant Music Director for WXLO-FM, the Music Director for WPLJ-FM (ABC’s flagship rock and roll station in New York), and the Promotion Coordinator for Arista Records; all allowing her to meet and work with some of the top music acts of the 1970s and ‘80s. During her time in the music industry, Gloria met and married Elliot Gorlin. They moved to Long Island and had two children before eventually deciding to move to Las Vegas. Gloria founded and served as president of Country Graphics, Inc., both in Saint James, NY and then in Las Vegas, NV. Gloria joined a number of organizations including the Las Vegas Spring Mountains Rotary Club and FAYM, the Foundation to Assist Young Musicians, for which she sat on the Board of Directors. What Gloria could not always contribute financially, she more than made up for with her time, volunteerism, and enthusiasm. Gloria was a giver, not a taker, always going out of her way to help those in need. Gloria enjoyed music, spending time with her family, and relaxing in the pool. Gloria is survived by her children; Lee and his wife Christine, Jeremy and his wife Kaelyn, her stepdaughter; Jenifer Vader and her wife Bonnie, her step-grandchildren; Bailey E., Camryn, Bailey V., and Jordan, her brother; Dan and his wife Sharon, her nephew, Joshua and niece, Jenni. She is also survived by Elliot Gorlin. Although separated, they shared a continued bond and friendship. Gloria’s celebration of life will be March 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. pacific time.
