Obituary of Sally Nyberg

Sally Irene "Bubbie" Nyberg, 92, of Las Vegsa and formerly of Sioux City, IA passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Sally was born on May 16th, 1928 to Archie and Alice Ivener. She moved to Las Vegas Nevada in 1978 where she continued to enjoy teaching mathematics to kids at many different levels. Sally enjoyed living life to the fullest by traveling to see all parts of the world. It brought so much joy to Sally when she was able to spend time with her friends. She enjoyed playing mahjong, poker, watching old game shows, and shopping. She treasured spending time her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Nina Gottsch, and Shale (Cheryl) Nyberg; grandchildren, Jennifer Bennett, and Joseph (Jessica) Bennett, her two great grandchildren, and Sister-in-law Beverly Ivener. She is preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life, Osman Sirin; brothers Edward Ivener and Terry Lee Ivener. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Sioux City IA with Rabbi Greene saying a prayer.
