Obituary of Grace Elizabeth Smead

Grace Elizabeth Smead, age 93, of Las Vegas, Nevada died December 10, 2020 surrounded by her loving caregivers, Glen Quibal, Grace Salvador, Zosima Parayno, and other sweet and kind residents at Life Share Care Home. She was born in the small town of Mineral Springs, Arkansas which then had a population of about 100. Grace moved to Las Vegas and met Dr. Leon and Faye Steinberg and their young children. She became a part of their family for more than twenty-five years and celebrated many lifecycle events with them. She was loved and appreciated by the entire family. She was preceded in death by her mother and Father, John Henry Smead and Eula Ann Wakefield of Mineral Springs, Arkansas and her older sister Mary Catherine McDaniel and younger sister, Eula Mae Smead Brown. Grace was not married, and is survived by no children. Grace enjoyed painting, was a devout Southern Baptist and loved Billy Graham. She adored window shopping, and in her earlier years she had the pleasure of traveling. Everyone that knew Grace well was aware of her voracious cravings for chocolate and Coca-Cola. Grace had the love and admiration of her life-long friend Cordelia Tollett Lyons who was also from Mineral Springs, Arkansas. Grace enhanced and impacted Cordelia's life immeasurably through her tender, loving kindness. Grace's life was about service unto others. May her soul rest in peace.
