Those we hold most dear never truly leave us; they live on in the kindnesses they showed, the comfort they shared and the love they brought into our lives. -Isabel Norton
It was obvious that Jack loved his family deeply. He was a friend to all and showed kindness to everyone who knew him. Some of us are blessed to have one of his beautiful pens, which we cherish and will always think of Jack each time we pick it up.

Jack was an incredible man and one of my best friends. I first met Jack when I was sent to Las Vegas to ensure the first Bulk Video/Data/Voice project was designed correctly and ready to be turned on. When I arrived I found that Jack had engineered it, tested it, and already had two customers using it for several days to ensure it worked correctly. On cutover day, the process was set up that required one connection change for the entire building. Once the switch was made, Jack and I visited every customer to ensure their TV sets and worked correctly and then provided demonstration of how to work the new system. That was customer service at its best. I really learned a lot that day.
From then on Jack and I were physically involved in most Bulk projects of existing complexes.
Another exciting project was for a new University dorm building in south Florida. It required the engineering and construction of the feeder network from the headend to the property. At the dorm, we had to install a new fiber network to each room and build a new switch and server in the utility room. We had one week to accomplish and pulled in the right resources, equipment, materials and training to complete the project on time. Jack's dedication, experience. and leadership made it happen.
On a personal note, Jack was the most polite gentlemen I have ever met. There was always a good story he would tell, communicate with customers on topics of interest to the customer developing trust and confidence in our Company. He was very good with his hands and tools so much so that he made wooden pens the were to die for. I have several that I cherish.
I wish we had lived closer after retirement so we could visit but had to settle for long phone calls. I know he loved his family very much and would do anything for them.
Jack was a great person and I know God has welcomed him into his new Kingdom.

I am very grateful to have had a dad like him. He was very smart, very kind and very compasionate. I have so many memories of us working on cars and houses and turning pens together. One time we took his jeep out into the desert to drive the jeep down quad trails. He taught me so much about everything. He and my mom got me into welding in high school. I wish to be half the father to my son as he was to me. I will continue to make him proud and I will teach my son the way he taught me. I love you so much dad and I miss you so much.

I only met Jack a few times due to the distance, but the first time I met him you had came out on holiday and we all met at a family member's house and he was putting together a child's playset. The next time was at Mom's and there he was redoing lights and panels. I remember thinking how he's on vacation and getting roped into helping other people's projects.
Fast forward several years, about a month after Glenn passed and I was struggling with getting things taken care of and getting things in my name. I took to FB to vent one night about the local phone company and all that I was dealing with. The next morning, a local supervisor called to personally apologize for the issues and then a grumpy tech was out to do the work he didn't bother to do before. Then Jack called. He had made a few calls and told me that it should all be resolved and if it wasn't - to let him know. I realized then that Jack wasn't getting roped into helping other's projects, he was doing something because it needed done and he could do it.
Jack was the most gentle and kind man and I am so sorry for your loss, our loss. The world is dimmer without him in it. Donna, I love you all and I am so sorry for the journey you are now forced to take, but know that you do not make it alone.

"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
"Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
"Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
"Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieve it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
"Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
"And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
Rest in Power, Brother.

The things that marked my imgae of Jack was the incredible character he exhibited. Calm, professional, dedicated to doing the right things, and always, without fail, an attiude of helpfulness. I can truly say he was one of the finest men I have ever known, and I consider myself blessed to have known him. The world is a lesser place without him in it.
