Obituary of Lawrence Samuel Klein

Lawrence Samuel Klein, age 85, a 17 year resident of Las Vegas and Henderson, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Larry was born June 1, 1927 in Beaver Falls, PA to the late Aron and the late Sophie (Lefkowitz) Klein. Larry served in the Army and the Merchant Marines, and worked as a salesman in the food industry. He enjoyed a variety of sports and was a semi-pro bowler, played table tennis, golf and softball. He had been a member of B'nai Brith, Temple Israel in W. Bloomfield MI and B'nai Moshe in Oak Park MI. Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirlee Lee Klein; children Bruce Klein; Steven Klein and Randy (Cynthia) Klein; grandchildren Justin Klein, Brittany Klein, Aaron Klein, Alexis Klein and Sarah Klein; nephews Jeffrey Weisz and Michael Weisz; nieces Cheryl-Ann Weinberg, Karen Sue Weinberg and Carol Weisz; and brother in law Melvin Weisz. He is predeceased by his parents; sister Lillian Weisz and niece Lori Weinberg. The funeral ceremony and interment will be held at 9:20 am on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, NV.
