Obituary of Sidney Carl Mermelstein

Sidney Carl Mermelstein, age 84, of Las Vegas, died Monday, October 3, 2011. Sidney was born July 22, 1927 in Bronx, NY to the late Irving and the late Jennie Mermelstein. Sidney served in the Navy during WWII and the Vietnam War. He was involved in stationary sales and owned Sellfax in CA. He enjoyed creating stained glass and served as president of his local home owners association. Sidney is survived by his wife, Joan Mermelstein of Las Vegas; children Robert (Tara) Mermelstein of AZ and Susan (Douglas) Stevens of CA; grandchildren Yisroel, Hindel, Shimi, Kaitlin and Devin; great grandchild Yechama; and brother Sheldon (Pat Messer) Mermell of Las Vegas. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 04, 2011 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV. Contributions in Sidney's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
