Obituary of Howard Joseph Taylor
Howard Joseph Taylor, age 86, Las Vegas died Friday, July 31, 2009. Mr. Taylor was born September 10, 1922 in New York to the late William and the late Elizabeth (Brannigan) Taylor.
He served in the Army during World War II from 11/07/1942 to 11/20/1945 and earned an American Campaign Medal, an EAME Campaign Medal With 4 Bronze Service Stars and a Good Conduct Medal.
He worked as a Longshoreman, retiring in 1987. Howard enjoyed fishing. He will be remembered as a very kind man, always there to give when someone had a hand out.
He is survived by one son: Stephen Harmon (Roseann) Taylor of Las Vegas; and two granddaughters, Jennifer Taylor and Stephanie Rose (Lorenzo) Perez, both of Las Vegas.
A memorial will be held on Wednesday, August 5 at 4:00 PM at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Service, 3975 S. Durango Drive, #104, Las Vegas, NV 89147.
