Obituary of Eileen K Crabbe

Eileen Kramer Crabbe, 92, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully at her son Robert Atlas' home on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Eileen was born October 31, 1927 in Chelsea, MA to the late Samuel and Sara Kramer. She attended Chelsea, MA High School, earned her BA with honors in Education from Salem State College with advanced classes in education at Boston University. A beloved and distinguished career educator, Eileen earned an Outstanding Teaching Service award from the State of Massachusetts for over 25 years teaching in the City of Medford, MA school system. She taught for over 40 years. In retirement, she assumed accounting and office management roles helping her two sons Robert and Stephen Atlas build their successful business, Atlas Development Corporation. An early female athlete, Eileen played college soccer at a time when the game needed an asterisk to define it in the USA. She enjoyed playing Sudoku, playing cards with friends, and particularly discussing politics. Given all this, her most enjoyable moments were times spent with her family that now survives her: her son Robert Atlas, his wife Rhondda Stark-Atlas and his son Owen Atlas of Las Vegas; son Stephen Atlas of Las Vegas and his 3 sons and his daughter, Joshua, Brian, Luke, and Rebecca Atlas, daughter in law Lisa Clinite and her son and daughter Blake and Brittani; and brother Albert Kramer (nickname Coach) and his wife Ruth Kramer of Oceanside, CA,; sister in law Janet Kramer of Marblehead, MA. She is predeceased by her parents Samuel and Sarah, brother Eddie Kramer and husband Claude Crabbe. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at King David Cemetery, Las Vegas, NV. For information on watching via Zoom, please contact the family or Kraft-Sussman.
