Obituary of Gordon "Gary" Douglas Cohen

Gordon "Gary" D. Cohen, 76, of Albany, NY, passed away on May 2, 2011, in Las Vegas, NV. Gary was born 6/21/1934 in Indianapolis, Indiana and grew up in Chicago, IL. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army Intelligence Division, Germany with honors, earned a Bachelor's degree from University of Chicago, a Master's degree from University of Chicago, and a P.H.D. from Loyola University of Chicago. He was the Deputy Director Administration of Albany, NY, County Mental Health Center for 35 years. Loving Husband of Sarah Blacher Cohen, Deceased; beloved brother of Lori Cohen Uretz; loving Uncle to Joe and Dana Zuckerman, Howard and Mary Zuckerman, Sheila Hobreigh Fischer; loving Great Uncle to Sydney, Matthew, Jennifer, Rebecca, Rachel, Nickie and Michael and many nieces and nephews in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at 10:00am at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services at 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV. Interment will be on Sunday, May 8 at the Independent Benevolent Cemetery in Albany, NY.
