Sunrise: July 10, 1948     Sunset: May 24, 2020

Barbara Ann Walker was born on July 10, 1948 in Los Angeles, California. She was the oldest daughter of Willie B & Elbirtha Jackson. She married Jesse Wilbert Walker on December 10, 1967 in Los Angeles, California. They welcomed four beautiful children- Kimberly, Yvette, Alicia and Jesse. Barbara was a member of Grant AME Church where she was married and worshiped there for many years.

She worked for the Monrovia School District in California and Brevard School District in Florida for many years until she retired in 2015. At that time, she relocated to Las Vegas, NV when her health started to deteriorate within five

years. She enjoyed singing. Her favorite song was Rumor Has It by Adel. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, reading, cooking, and traveling. She especially enjoyed visiting Las Vegas and the Playboy Jazz festival at the Hollywood Bowl

every year during the summer.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Jesse Walker and their four children Kimberly Polk and husband, Robert Polk; Yvette Futch and husband, Phillip Futch; Alicia Bush and her husband, Daniel Bush; and Jesse Walker, her only son. Barbara had seven grandchildren Sierra Futch, Tanisha Mitchell, Bracie Polk, Amia Futch, Isaiah Walker, X Zavier Bush, and Edmond Bush. She also had four great grandchildren Stephan Burrell III, Scott Burrell, Logan Yarbrough- mith, and Jason Manuel. Additionally, she leaves two nephews, Michael Johnson and Eric Jackson to include other family and friends. Though Barbara’s health was failing, her joy for life and unbeatable spirt kept her pushing through the pain. Her family grieves her loss, but now she is together again, with her father, mother, and sister.

She was preceded in death by her father Willie B Jackson, mother Elbirtha Jackson, and sister Vera Jackson.

REST IN PEACE MOTHER, WE KNOW YOU ARE IN A BETTER PLACE AND ONE DAY

WE SHALL MEET AGAIN.
