Obituary of Florence "Faye" Schwartz

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Florence Faye Schwartz on Tuesday, December 24, 2019. Faye the daughter of Harry and Betty Pearl, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. she was predeceased by her loving husband Dr. Eugene Schwartz, and Arnold Pearl of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her loving daughter, Betty Van Baalen Gutfreund, son-in-law Dan Gutfreund, granddaughters Sarah Gutfreund & Shayna Gutfreund of Phoenix, Arizona, sister Phyllis Astrov of Columbus, Ohio and sister Sylvia Plevin of Apopka, Florida. Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who has resided in Phoenix, Arizona since 1969. She served as District Manager for a national retail cosmetics firm. Her interests were quite varied and included earning a black belt in Kuk-Sool-Won Korean martial arts, volunteering with the Phoenix Art Museum, Jewish Singles Group, the Salvation Army, serving on the Board of Directors of the Anti-defamation League, and participating as an active life-time member with Hadassah. Faye enjoyed traveling to various destinations around the world, and spending precious time with her family and friends.
