Obituary of Miriam Blom

Miriam Blom, 69, of North Las Vegas, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019. Miriam was born November 29, 1950 in Den Haag Netherlands to the late Frans and D'vorah Blom. She lived in Israel on a kibbutz for a while and then moved to the United States in the 70's, spending most of her life in Portland OR. She moved to Las Vegas in 2008. A social worker by trade, Miriam specialized in working with troubled youth. She was also very involved in the Jewish community in both Portland and Las Vegas. Miriam loved animals and gardening. She was also a good artist who enjoyed handiwork and silk-screening. Miriam is survived by her daughter Nirah (Cleveland) Denson and grandsons Malachi and Micah Denson, all of Las Vegas; mother D'vorah Cahn Blom of Holland; and brother Frank Blom of Holland. A graveside service will be held at 1:45 pm on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Bunkers Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV.
