Obituary of Miles Von Wagner

Miles Von Wagner, born on December 26, 1959 in Sidney, Nebraska was called home on November 2, 2019 in North Las Vegas, Nevada. He was 59 years old. Miles was a loving husband, father, son, and a friend to everyone that knew him. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, growing roses and landscaping, reading, and coaching, but most of all Miles loved spending time with his wife and children. He will be remembered most for his kind heart, his willingness to always lend a hand, his sense of humor and his infectious smile. Miles always found a way to find the lighter side of a serious situation and took pride in helping others do the same. In the spirit of giving to others, he was an organ donor and was able to bless others' lives through his contributions. Miles will be dearly missed but the world is a better place for him having been here. His legacy will live on through those who know and love him. Miles proudly served his country for 4 years in the United States Air Force in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He and Geri met through their love of playing and coaching volleyball and were married on July 1, 1992. He eventually earned a bachelor's of science in secondary math education from the University of Wyoming. Miles was passionate about teaching and learning. The students of Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Triumph High School and Sky Pointe High School were fortunate to have such a dedicated and devoted teacher. He had a reputation for selfless dedication to the profession and a commitment to his students' success. Miles also loved coaching high school and college volleyball and various elementary sports. His energy and love for the game was infectious to those around him. Miles is survived by his wife, Geri, and his two children, Alye and Colin, his mother and father, Vicki and Vern Wagner of Colorado, and his two sisters Stacie (Brian) Pike of Colorado and Michelle (Boyd) Taylor of Texas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10 AM at the Chapel located at 7500 Tule Springs Road, North Las Vegas 89131. Arrangements have been made through Kraft-Sussman Funeral & Cremation Services of Nevada. Cremation has taken place and there will be no graveside service.
