Obituary of Jack Feldman

Jack Feldman, age 71, of Las Vegas passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011. Jack was born November 19, 1939 in Chicago, IL to the late Samuel and Belle Feldman. Jack served in the Navy and then went on to earn a Master's degree from Northeastern University. He worked 33 years for the Chicago Public School system, most of them as a school counselor. He earned the Certificate of Principal from the Board of Education. Jack worked with underprivileged children and set up a counseling program for early childhood and grade school students. Continuing his passion of working with underprivileged children, he volunteered with Spread The Word Nevada, reading to children in the Clark County School District. Along with his many friends, Jack was a passionate golfer, racquetball player and bowler. He and his wife Ruthann were also the facilitators of the JCC's Dining Out Club for over three years. Jack is survived by his wife, Ruthann; children Audra and Hale Feldman; stepson Robert (Pam) Kalish; grandchildren Johna, Alexis, Dylan, Sydney and Justin; and best friend and brother, Bud Feldman. A memorial service will be held 12:00 pm on Friday, March 18 at the Summit in the Pinnacle Community Center In Sun City Summerlin, 2215 Thomas Ryan Blvd., Las Vegas, 89134.
