Obituary of David Barry Tichiaz Sr.

David Barry Tichiaz Sr., 75, a fifteen year resident of Las Vegas, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018. David was born in Derby England to the late Gordon and the late Pauline Tichiaz. The family moved to the US in 1950 and grew up in Connecticut. He served for three years in the 101st Airborne Division of the Army as a paratrooper. He had a career as a general contractor. Most recently, David was a project manager for large apartment building construction projects. He enjoyed travel and a good cigar and bottle of wine. David is survived by his lifelong soul mate Suzy Tichiaz; children David (Taryn) Tichiaz JR of CA and Michael (Natuzza Demasi) Merrigan Sr. of CT, grandchildren Hudson and Cohen Tichiaz, Michael Merrigan Jr. and Matthew Merrigan; great grandson Colton Merrigan; sister Janine Tichiaz (John) McGahan of MA; nieces Tara (Kevin) Dulude of MA and Sarah (Tom) Brand of MA; and cousins Pauline and Tony of England. A funeral will be held at 9:20 AM pm on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV.
