Obituary of Rita Vera Marquez

Rita Vera Marquez, age 36, of Las Vegas, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Rita was born April 27, 1980 in the Philippines to Dolores Almazan and the late Alfredo Marquez. She was the third of five siblings. Rita studied at St. Cyr Elementary School and received a scholarship to Manila Science High School. She earned a BA in broadcast communication at the University of the Philippines. Rita worked in the BPO industry where she spent 1/3 of her life. She started from the ranks and moved her way up to becoming a senior operations manager. This is where she met the love of her life - Toti Boado and produced a handsome and wonderful son - Jose Matteo Boado. After giving birth she was diagnosed with Cardiomegaly which is an enlargement of the heart. Rita spent 7 wonderful years with Toti and Matteo. Early in 2015 Toti and Matteo moved to the US as immigrants. Rita followed as a tourist to be with her loves. The family moved to their own apartment and lived in it for 3 unforgettable months. Then the tragedy happened, when Rita passed out in the car unconscious and without a pulse. She now rests in the Lord's arms. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 26 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV.
