Obituary of Ronald Marvin Scher

Ronald Marvin Scher, age 82, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Ronald was born December 9, 1933 in the Bronx NY to the late Jack Charles and the late Grace (Lewis) Scher. Ron served in the US Navy, and then had a career as a professional engineer, first as a mechanical engineer, then as a construction manager, working for Grubb and Ellis Commercial Construction Group for most of his career. Ronald was involved in a number of organizations, and was honored by the City of Philadelphia for his charity work. He was a member of the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada. Ronald is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra Scher; children Richard (Jill) Fenkel of Las Vegas NV, Craig (Julia) Scher of Voorhees NJ and Scott (Lauren) Scher of Livingston NJ; grandchildren Alexis Scher and Emilie Scher of Voorhees NJ, Max Scher and Jason Scher of Livingston NJ; and brother David (Eydie) Scher of Sparks NV. A funeral will be held at 8:00 am on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV. .
