Obituary of Nadyne Diniz

Nadyne King Diniz was born July 20, 1924 to George Martin and Henrietta Scott King in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the youngest child born into this union, and now reunites with her parents, five sisters and one brother; Reba, George, Anna, Helen, Flora, and Corine. She received her high school education at Sumner High, in Kansas City, Kansas. After completing some college courses, she moved to St. Louis, Missouri and finally made her home in Los Angeles, California, where she met and married, Manual James Diniz around 1957-1958. This marriage produced one son, Raphael. For several years, she was employed as a secretary with CBS; Columbia Broadcasting System (US radio and TV network). Through Kelly Girl Temporary Services, she was assigned to corporate firms throughout the city of Los Angeles. Her supervisor, Margie McKay, thought so highly of her, she hand selected the best assignments for her as they became available. One of her most remembered assignments was working on Ronald Regan's presidential campaign in 1980. After taking a course in Child Development, she became owner-operator of her own private childcare business. For many years, she was a member of Holman United Methodist Church. In her personal notes, she had expressed that her proudest achievement was moving to Hawaii and meeting wonderful people, and that her greatest pleasure in life was traveling to Alaska and seeing the Glaciers! One of her fondest memories was while she was living in Hawaii. Raphael was Captain of a DC-8 for UPS. He would fly his jet to Hawaii to see her. She would wait for him at the UPS office in Hawaii. Raphael would usually land on the runway right in front of the office and taxi right up to the gate where Nadyne would be standing. She loved to watch him come in and park his big four-engine jet right in front of her. She was always so proud to watch him come down the stairs in uniform with a big smile and a hug for his mother. She had a great soprano voice, and loved to sing in choirs and on the radio. She was so excited when she became part of Kathryn Kuhlman’s choir, a TV evangelist, and was able to sing on TV. She liked to attend operas, musicals and concerts. She had a love for people and special occasions. She was a fun loving and a generous person, often giving or donating to St. Judes Ranch for Children, disadvantaged Native Americans, and other children's organizations. As a single parent of one son (Raphael), she made every sacrifice and every effort to see that he succeeded in conquering his dream to become a pilot. She didn’t always understand what he was doing but she always supported him. When he was in training for the DC-8 at Flying Tigers she would help him study his memory items for emergencies. She was the wind beneath his wings; and in return, he made every effort to see that she lived well for the rest of her life. She was the life of the party!!! Anyone that met her loved and adored her. What a woman and a lady! She lived to celebrate her 92nd year of life! On the morning of July 28, 2016, she left quietly and peacefully, slipping through that open door to find new life; to find new strength, to find new peace. She slipped away to find the others that she loved; her Heavenly father, her family and friends; all waiting on the other side to receive her! She's going home. That is what she whispered, "I just want to go home". What a blessing to have had her in our lives. We will dearly miss her. She Leaves to Mourn One Son; Raphael A. Diniz, One Granddaughter; Alesha Diniz. Three Nephews; Walter O’Bannon, Robert Hussey (Robert Jr., Robin), George Lewis (Carlton, Carey). Four Nieces; Diane Maddox (Christy, AnnDrea, Kimberly), Cassandra Lewis (Angela, Alvin, Michael, Frank), Ingrid O’Bannon (Herman, Michele), Sharilyn Harris (Kimisha,Tami, Nese), and Numerous Great and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews, and a Host of Extended Family and Friends.
