BIOGRAPHY OF JOSEPH B. ‘Joe’ GALINSKI JoeSki DOB: Dec 18, 1966 DOD: March 20, 2016 Age: 49 PLACE OF BIRTH: San Diego, CA RESIDENCE: St. George, Utah CHILDREN: Christopher (Chris) and Tabitha (Tabby) PARENTS: Pat Muffley and Richard Galinski(d) STEP PARENTS: Mike Muffley and Arlene Galinski SIBLINGS: Cynthia (Cindy) Brehm and John Galinski Charles, Jeff, Barry and Tracey Muffley, Mike(d) Kim, Diane and Lynn Bellafiore and Cheryl Cochran Joe joined the California Highway Patrol at age 20. He attended Santana and Mar Vista High Schools and Southwestern College. One day he went with a friend to an interview for the CHiP... he was accepted... and decided that was what he wanted to do. He was very happy and proud to be a CHiP. Unfortunately, Joe was injured in a domestic violence incident call when he responded as backup for the local sheriff’s department after the two responding Sheriffs were killed. Joe’s career ended a few years later when he was medically retired from the CHP. For a time he did some work as a private investigator but life and his body won’t let him continue. It was very frustrating and depressing for him to be such a big strong guy, whose pain won’t let him live the life he wanted. Joe was an avid outdoors person and always up for challenge; no matter how much pain he was in. He even did a stint as a part time stunt man. Joe loved to ride motorcycles and had many adventures on his Harley Davidson. He joined the Patriots Motorcycle Club, Utah Chapter. It is a group comprised of made up of police officers and military personnel. One time he set up a Facebook page for the Adventures of Crockett the Ramcoon. He would ride his Harley and wear this crazy ‘Ramcoon’ hat and take pictures of Crockett in all sorts of places, environments and people! He liked to think he was a mechanic, but things just never seemed to get really fixed. He enjoyed fishing and hiking and shooting camping and bonfires!!! Joe had a big smile and loved to tease. All his nieces and nephews loved Uncle Joe and he loved to tease them. Joe loved animals and would be devastated when something happened to them. Joseph was married twice to Shari Chamberlin and April Marion. He was predeceased by his father Richard and his wife Shari, his step brother, Mike and his favorite rescue dog, Lucky. We will celebrate Joe’s life on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. A short visitation at 12:30 will be followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89128 at 1:30pm. A sincere thank you to all the nurses, doctors and social workers at the UMC Trauma Center in Las Vegas for their outstanding care and comfort for the family. In lieu of flowers recommend donations to either a Fallen Police Officer’s Fund, ST Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church or to his children Tabby and Christopher or a charity of your choice.
