Obituary of Adele Irma Rothman

Adele Rothman, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother of Las Vegas passed away peacefully on March 10, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Adele was born November 21, 1922 in Syracuse, New York to Evelyn and Mortimer Axenfeld. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, husband Lt. Colonel Milton M Rothman and grandson. Adele lived in and visited a wide variety of countries around the world, including Japan, Taiwan and England. She and Milton moved from Minneapolis to Las Vegas in 1980. She continued in a variety of volunteer leadership roles, including the Star Auxiliary and the City of Hope, and was recognized in "Who are the Women of Las Vegas - 1984".. Adele was well known among many local restaurants and by many local entertainers, whom she adored. Adele is survived by her son Geoffrey Rothman (Beth Edwards), Burlingame, CA and her two daughters, Judy Bearman of Minneapolis, MN and Sydelle Bunin of Fort Myers, FL; nine grandchildren, Andrew and Dan Rothman, Dr. Jody Bearman (Todd), Audra Avakian (Ara), Lori Daniels (Rob), Ethan Bearman (Amy), Greg Bunin (Cindy), Tony Bunin (Dorian) and Jason Bunin (Lane); nine great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; her beloved companion, Gene Kregg; many friends in Las Vegas and elsewhere. Services will be held on March 16 at 1 pm at Temple Ner Tamid, with internment at the Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, CA.
