Obituary of Michael A Lampley

Sunrise 7-22-70 Sunset 2-22-16 Michael Anthony Lampley, Sr was born in Gary, Indiana to Roy Lampley and Stephanie Harris on July 22, 1970. As A young man he not only professed his love of Christ, he also joined the Ministry. One of his most triumphant moments as a minister was honoring his Grandmother, Mary Lampley, by delivering her eulogy. Michael was a member of Greater New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Previously he served in several capacities for the Lord, as part of Ministerial Alliance and Men's Church Choir. Michael exhibited a sincere passion for learning as proven by his relentless effort to be successful at any goal he set forth to achieve while in High School. Michael was featured in Who's Who among high school students in Indiana. Michael garnered the Varsity Athletic Award for Track & Field, Cross Country, and basketball. In 1988 Michael graduated from Gary, Indiana Wirt High School. His interest in competive sports continued in college where he demonstrated his love of basketball as an avid player and fan. He graduated from Ohio Central State University College in 1994, with a degree in Accounting. Michael received awards for his Math Achievements. The same year Michael married his soul mate, Chaundra Phillips, from this union, daughters Meghan and Mai- Lyn as well as son Michael Lampley Jr. were born. He also proudly became the doting grandfather of two grandchildren Noelie & Braxton Jr. Michael enjoyed his childhood and adult life in a loving family which he cherished dearly. He is the owner of One- Touch Digital Systems as well as the Security Account Manager of Southwest Gas Corporation in Las Vegas Nevada. Michael was an avid mentor to young adolescents of all ages, he would witness to anyone and invite them to church. He leaves to cherish his Loving Wife, Chaundra Lampley. Three beautiful children Meghan Lampley, Mai-Lyn Lampley, Michael Lampley Jr. His Grandmother Thelma Montgomery His two brothers: Anthony(Sabrina) Lampley, LeRon Nunn, His sisters: Tawina Lampley and Joann Norwood. Two Grandchildren Noelie Grimes and Braxton Grimes Jr. Mother-In-Law Tamara Childress, Sister-In-Law Maya Lynn; Brother-In-Law Charles Dixon Jr. Aunts: Delores Lampley, Lyvonne Miles, Sharon Lampley, Elaine (Russel) Ennols, Dana Hardy, Patricia Prather, Janoise ( Lawrence) Person and Toyea Lampley Uncles: McKinley(Patricia)Harris, Ronnie(Elizabeth) Lampley, Leon(Patricia) Harris, Gregory (Karen) Lampley, Rupert Harris and Victor Burns. Along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Special friends and extended family: Braxton Grimes Sr, DeShaun Lewis, Dominique' Brown, Sariah Simmons, Sara Coates, Jaselle Villanueva, Michael Haigler III, Cauleen Bradley, Clifton Bradley and Tiera Porter. Michael is preceded in death by his Mother Stephanie Harris, Grandmother Mary Lampley, Grandfathers McKinley Harris and Gregory Lampley, Aaron Childress. Brother-In-Law Damon Lynn, Father - In-Law Burley Phillips. Uncles: Michael Lampley, Gerard Jackson, and Kenneth Lampley. Aunt: Harriett Lampley Robinson and Niece: Jasmine Taylor.
