He opened his first business called Jeans Plus, inside The International Bazaar swap meet in North Las Vegas. This stemmed his entrepreneurial spirit, and he opened many other businesses around the Las Vegas area. Such as, The Rib House and Pandora's Burgers, on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Carlos was later involved in promoting concerts, comedy shows and parties in night clubs around the Las Vegas Valley. One of his shows was headlined by TK Kirkland, The College Boyz', Spice 1, and Chris Tucker. Another was a Celebrity basketball game that included Jamie Foxx. Carlos was not only an entrepreneur; he was also a community servant, who gave from his heart. One year, he funded his own program to donate Christmas Trees to the less fortunate. He was very active in the community and Carlos was loved by many. He was known for always offering words of encouragement and advice to many. He freely gave his knowledge to anyone who asked and in multiple ways he would pass knowledge sometimes in unique ways to his children, his oldest child Courtney remembers anytime she would tell her dad she was bored, he would hand her a book. That's the kind of guy he was, always big on education. Carlos was a guy that wore many hats. He was a Husband, a Father, a Brother and a Friend to so many; and for that he will be forever missed.
