Obituary of John Christopher Kehoe

JOHN C. 'JACK' KEHOE, 81, a 16 year resident of Las Vegas, peacefully slipped away in his sleep July 17, 2010, after a very aggressive lung disease, Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born Nov. 15, 1929 in Brooklyn NY. His father, an ironman working on the Empire State Building, had a fatal accident when Jack was only18 mos. old. Jack attended St. Johns University, graduated Law Review and was admitted to the New York Bar Assn at the age of 24. Jack joined the Allstate Ins. Co. as Mgr. of Claims and retired in 1989 as the Regional Vice Pres. of the Menlo Park and Los Angeles CA. areas. He was married for 34years and widowed in 1990. Always the caring and loving father to his 3 sons, Michael, John and Brian. In 1991 he met Ellie in CA through a mutual friend. They soon realized they had something 'special' and in 1995, after 4 yrs, they were married. His hobbies included building and flying radio-controlled airplanes; the horses, especially a yearly trip to Del Mar Racetrack; travelling on his many world-wide cruises, European trips and deep-sea fishing in Kona; golf, especially his yearly Hawaii trip; and all types of dancing, ballroom, Latin and swing. He would follow his favorite dance band, The Jerry Tiffe Band, around town. He often said he was the luckiest man in the world because he was able to enjoy all his 'favorite things' with the woman he loved. A special thank you to Nathan Adelson Hospice for the comfort they provided, and to his special doctor, Shari Klein, MDVIP. He is predeceased by his sister, mother and father. His request for a private family service will be honored. Donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
